About Lazy Ass Acres

Hey there fellow homesteaders! Welcome to our website.  I want to tell you a little bit about the family behind Lazy Ass Acres. 

We are Louis and  Kendra Adan. We live in Newnan, a small town in west central Georgia.  We have been married 35 years and have two grown daughters. 
We started building our homestead a few years ago. We started a small garden and got a few chickens and were very happy to be eating food that we grew. Once we started eating fresh eggs , we were hooked and started talking about how to expand. We took a few years to make some adjustments to our property and make sure we were ready to move forward. We decided to make quail our next homestead addition. We purchased some young Jumbo Coturnix Quail and started collecting eggs to eat. Then we got an incubator and started hatching some quail chicks. Next, we decided that rabbits would be a good next addition. We raise New Zealand rabbits for meat as well as to sell. 
After our girls moved out on their own, we knew we needed to find something to keep us busy. We love eating fresh food so homesteading seemed like a great choice. 
       We’ve since added turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl and a few pigs to the homestead.
As we gain more experience at being self sufficient, we hope to be able to share with you our successes and failures. Please share with us any feedback on what you see on our website. Also, check out our Facebook page, YouTube channel, Tik Tok and Instagram.
